Community providers are a vital part of VA’s high-performing health care network, ensuring eligible Veterans and their beneficiaries get the timely, high-quality health care they need. Provider Payments – Community Care – Veterans Affairs

VA is required to pay all medical and dental claims from providers electronically. For claims submitted to one of VA’s Third Party Administrators (TPAs), such as TriWest Healthcare Alliance, for care provided through the Veterans Choice Program (VCP) or Patient-Centered Community Care (PC3) networks, you will receive a payment from the same TPA. For claims submitted for care provided through a Veterans Care Agreement, you will receive a payment directly from VA.

Customer Engagement Portal – Veterans Affairs

The Customer Engagement Portal is a reporting tool for VA Medical providers to verify the status of claims as well as run payment reconciliation reports. We are now accepting access requests for System for Award Management ( registered medical providers. Please log in to request access to your company’s information.

Virginia Premier’s Provider Portal, is a safe and secure tool that gives providers quick and easy access to: Submit DME, Home Care, Therapy, Outpatient and emergent Inpatient authorizations. The purpose of the Community Care Provider-Request for Service, VA Form 10-10172, is to manage requests from community providers and to allow for placement, tracking, managing, and reporting of those requests. Approved care may be performed within VA or at community facilities. The location is dependent on the service availability within VA as well as the Veteran’s community care eligibility and preferences.

Claims Status – Community Care – Veterans Affairs

If you filed a claim with VA directly for Veteran’s care, you can check the status of your VA claim through the VA Customer Engagement Portal (CEP). CEP is a reporting tool that allows registered users on demand access to research, claims (HCFA 1500 or CMS 1450) status, and information about past, current, and future payments.
