Account Request – TACC User Portal

The first step to gaining access to TACC resources is to create a TACC User Portal (TUP) account. Once your portal account is active, Principal Investigators (PIs) may then submit project/allocation requests as described below. If you are not a PI, then contact your project’s PI or delegate and request to be added to an existing project.

Managing I/O on TACC Resources – TACC User Portal

The TACC Global Shared File System, Stockyard, is mounted on nearly all TACC HPC resources as the /work ($WORK) directory. This file system is accessible to all TACC users, and therefore experiences a huge amount of I/O activity (reading and writing to disk) as users run their jobs.

TACC Longhorn User Guide – TACC User Portal

Access to all TACC systems now requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). You can create an MFA pairing on the TACC User Portal. After login on the portal, go to your account profile (Home->Account Profile), then click the “Manage” button under “Multi-Factor Authentication” on the right side of the page.
