In development for over a year, the IMS is robust, reliable, and user-friendly. All existing licensing data was transferred from the previous licensing portal (emsbridge or ImageTrend) to the new IMS.

A Louisiana Verification of EMS License Certification Form must be completed by each state or territory licensing agency where an emergency medical services practitioner license, certification or registration has been held and subsequently forwarded to Louisiana Bureau of Emergency Medical Services by the appropriate state/territory licensing agency.

Louisiana EMS Recertification – CAPCE-Approved EMS …

Based on NREMT’s requirements, the Louisiana Bureau of EMS has compiled the topics and hours for recertification at all four certification and license levels: EMR, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic. This model is optional for those recertifying in 2017, but it is mandatory for all EMS professionals recertifying in 2018 and subsequent years.
